Sea Smoke’s vineyard blocks are located in "the buckle" - a common name for the geographic transition zones found on steep hillsides. These "buckle" zones are often characterized by rich soils of intermediate depth, deposited over time by the weathering of the nearby peaks. At Sea Smoke, we believe the soils of "the buckle" aid us in our quest for vigor reduction and vine balance.
